Simple by design

From router to paying customers in three steps

1

Add your site

Name your location and hit save. Kafunda generates everything the router needs - no IP address required, no port forwarding, no call to your ISP.

2

Run one script

Open your router terminal and paste. The router connects to Kafunda, registers itself, and starts accepting logins. Most setups take under ten minutes.

3

Start selling

Create voucher batches, set up packages, or let customers pay directly at the portal. Mobile money collections land in your wallet automatically.

Everything an operator needs, nothing they don't

Works behind any connection

Your routers don't need a public IP. Whether they're on LTE, a shared upstream, or a dynamic link, they connect to Kafunda - not the other way around.

Sell access your way

Print voucher batches, sell time-based packages, or let customers buy directly at the captive portal. All of it backed by the same billing engine.

Mobile money, built in

Collections from MTN and Airtel go straight to your Kafunda wallet. No middleware, no manual reconciliation, no end-of-day spreadsheet.

Know what's happening

See active sessions, data usage, and site health across all your locations. Get alerted when something goes wrong before your customers notice.

PPPoE subscribers

Run fixed broadband alongside your hotspot. Subscriber accounts, session limits, and accounting all managed from the same place.

Bring in your team

Add staff with the right level of access. Managers see billing; technicians see sites. No shared logins.

Built for routers that don't have a public IP

Most ISP platforms assume your router sits on a clean static address. That's not how most hotspot deployments work. Routers behind LTE modems, CGNAT upstreams, or shared connections are the norm - and most tools break on them.

Kafunda flips the model. The router calls home. Once it's connected, everything runs through that tunnel: authentication, accounting, diagnostics, updates. It keeps working even when your WAN changes.

Captive portal ready

A portal that sends customers back to the router

MikroTik redirects unauthenticated clients to Kafunda. After they buy a voucher or pay by mobile money, the portal posts their credentials back to the router login endpoint. The customer gets online; you get paid.

Voucher code or payment reference used as the login
